The City of Nanaimo supports the use of zero-emission vehicles and continues to add electric vehicles to its fleet. The City owns and maintains multiple Level 2 (240V) charging stations that can be found at a variety of City parks and facilities.
EV Charging Stations
There are various EV charging locations in and around Nanaimo; some are City-owned and some can be found at businesses around town. Most of the public EV charging stations in Nanaimo are Level 2 (240V), but there a few Level 3 (480V) charging stations capable of charging up to 80% in 30 minutes (depending on the vehicle).
As of June 1, 2024, the City will implement fees associated with the City-Owned EV Charging Stations. Fee schedule as follows:
