Nice Ice.
In Nanaimo, we have converted our ice resurfacing machines from propane to electric. That’s right, we plug them in rather than gas them up! It’s a significantly greener option, and it means we aren’t pushing harmful carbon emissions and gases into the air that you breathe within our arenas.
On top of our electric Zambonis, the City has converted to REALice technology, which allows for ice resurfacing with cool water rather than hot.
